DON KEY A LANE IS A SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE COMPANY AND THIS POLICY IS EXPLAINED IN OUR STANDARD TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF TRADE AND OUR ETHICAL CODE OF PRACTICE. OUR WEBSITE IS FULLY COMPLIANT WITH THE UK DISABILITY DISCRIMINATION ACT 1995 AND SECTION 508 INTERNET ACCESSIBILITY FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES.

DON KEY A LANE ADHERS TO THE UN GLOBAL COMPACT'S 10 PRINCIPLES IN THE AREAS OF HUMAN AND LABOUR RIGHTS, ENVIRONMENT AND ANTI-CORRUPTION.

  1. WE WILL CONTINUE TO REDUCE OUR USE OF ENERGY, MATERIALS AND WASTE WATER WITHIN THE COMPANY WITH THE AIM OF REDUCING THE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT OF OUR OPERATIONS.
  2. WE WILL IDENTIFY PROCESSES, PRODUCTION, MATERIALS AND WASTE THAT MAY CAUSE POLLUTION AND TO IMPLEMENT TECHNICAL MEASURES TO REDUCE OR CONTAIN THE POLLUTION.
  3. WE WILL COMPLY WITH ALL LEGISLATION IN THE COUNTRIES WE OPERATE.
  4. WE WILL CONTINUE TO REDUCE OUR CARBON FOOTPRINT AT ALL LEVELS WITHIN THE COMPANY.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY: EMPLOYMENT

  1. WE WILL COMPLY WITH ALL LEGISLATION RELATING TO EMPLOYMENT, HEALTH AND SAFETY AND EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES ON THE BASIS OF BEST PRACTICE IN EACH COUNTRY WE OPERATE.
  2. WE WILL NOT DISCRIMINATE IN ANY FORM OR MANNER. WE WILL  NOT DISCRIMINATE WHEN OFFERING EMPLOYMENT, TRAINING, PROMOTION OR TERMINATION BASED ON RACE OR CASTE, NATIONALITY, RELIGION, AGE, BELIEFS, DISABILITY, GENDER, POLITICAL STATUS, MARITAL STATUS OR MEMBERSHIP OF ANY GROUPS.

  1. WE CONTRIBUTE TO LOCAL CAUSES AND CHARITIES AND ENSURE OUR OPERATIONS CAUSE MINIMUM IMPACT WITHIN EACH COMMUNITY WE OPERATE.
  2. OUR CHARITY REVIEW BOARD CONSIDERS ALL REQUESTS FOR SPONSORSHIP ANNUALLY.
  3. WE COLLABORATE WITH A NUMBER OF SPORTING, HUMANITARIAN, CULTURAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL ORGANISTAIOTN.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY: HUMAN RIGHTS

  1. WE COMPLY FULLY WITH THE POLICIES OF THE UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS (UDHR) WHICH IS EXPLAINED FULLY WITHIN OUR WEBSITE.
  2. WE COMPLY WITH THE LAWS AND CUSTOMS AND PRACTICES OF EACH COUNTRY IN WHICH WE HAVE A PRESENCE OR A MARKETING INFLUENCE.
  3. WE DO NOT USE CHILD LABOUR.
  4. WE SUPPORT THE WORKING TIME REGULATIONS AS A COMMITMENT TO GIVE PRIORITY TO HEALTH AND SAFETY. WE DO NOT EXCEED THESE LIMITS TO THE EXTENT THAT THEY PUT UNDUE STRESS, EXCESSIVE FATIGUE OR OTHER MEDICAL CONDITIONS ON  EMPLOYEES.
  5. WE BELIEVE EVERYONE HAS THE RIGHT TO JOIN OR FORM A TRADE UNION AND WE ACTUALLY ENCOURAGE EMPLOYEES TO BECOME MEMBERS OF AN APPROPRIATE RECOGNISED TRADE UNION AND THUS CONTRIBUTE TO A PATTERN OF GOOD RELATIONS BASED ON FULL REPRESENTATION.

  2. WE TRADE AND DEAL HONESTLY AND OPENLY WITH THE ULTIMATE INTEGRITY AND ALL EFFORTS ARE MADE TO ENSURE A VERY HIGH STANDARD OF BUSINESS ETHICS.
